With over 160 acres of woodlands\, prairies\, and wetlands\, it is the perfect spot for your young explorers to discover Iowa’s colorful summer wildlife.\n\n\nEvent Details\nDate: Sunday\, August 23\, 2026\nTime: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM\nLocation: Madrid\, Iowa\nWho: Young birders (ages 8–18) and their parents/guardians/caretakers\nCost: FREE\, and Advance registration is requested\n*Normal entrance rates apply for participants to visit the Arboretum before or after the class.\n\n\n What to Expect\nNo Experience Needed: Whether your child is a seasoned nature lover or completely new to birding\, everyone is welcome!\nExciting Wildlife: We will search for stunning local birds like Indigo Buntings\, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds\, Scarlet Tanagers\, and soaring hawks.\nGear Provided: Binoculars are encouraged\, as we will have a limited number of pairs available to borrow.\n\n\n Inclusive & Accessible\nIowa Young Birders welcomes all families.
